CAITLIN SHIH
Reentry Programs Director
Caitlin is a systems thinker and project manager committed to finding ways to break down barriers for those directly impacted by institutional violence. Caitlin has worked in the New York City reentry field since 2016 across the areas of behavioral health, employment services, and supportive housing. She believes that centering the voices of those directly impacted is crucial to any advocacy or reform effort, and that empathy is both a moral and structural imperative, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In her free time, Caitlin works with grassroots efforts centered around mutual aid, abolition, and workers rights. She is based in Queens, New York and is a graduate of St. John's University.
