Chiara Juster’s advocacy for justice is longstanding & led to a career as an attorney, strategist, advocate, and policy consultant.
She is passionate about criminal justice reform, equitable policy, and the integrity of the cannabis community and industry. Chiara’s commitment to justice and reform were intensified after what she experienced as an Assistant State Attorney. There, she had hoped to wield the sword of prosecutorial discretion that she had learned about in law school only to discover that it is a myth and that the War on Drugs continues to proliferate and destroy communities.
In addition to her work with Last Prisoner Project, Chiara is Chair of Government Affairs at Oaksterdam University. She also advocates with various non-profit organizations including the National Cannabis Industry Association where she has served on their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee since its inception. She is also a member of the International Cannabis Bar Association.
Chiara received her Juris Doctor at the University of Miami School of Law. She also attended the University of Oregon where she received degrees in sociology and political science.
